Dr. Stephanie W. Cawthon has been tapped to present a workshop — Syllabus, Inclusive Classroom, and Classroom Management — for Early Career Fellows at The University of Texas at Austin on October 6.

The workshop will focus on how to:

  • Create an effective and inclusive syllabus;

  • Learn strategies for developing and sustaining an inclusive classroom climate; and

  • Manage an effective classroom, including issues of supervision, refereeing, facilitating, and academic discipline.

Dr. Cawthon will be joined by Dr. Betty Jeanne Taylor, who is Assistant Vice President in the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement. The event is hosted by the Office of the Provost for the newest cohort of Early Career Fellows, a group of faculty members with outstanding scholarly records, as well as knowledge and experience in the issues and practices of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
