Summary
It's the ideal time of year to appreciate disabled creators and entrepreneurs in our communities.
Our communities are full of disabled entrepreneurs. Demonstrating our support for them is important all year long, but it is especially apt on Small Business Saturday.
Held the day after Black Friday — this year on November 30, 2024 — Small Business Saturday is a way for us to show our appreciation of small businesses that are the backbone of our communities and as a timely reminder to “buy local” during the holiday season.
Why Do Disabled Professionals Start Their Own Businesses?
+ Accessible workplaces are still few and far between.
+ Small businesses are one way to support accessibility for all.
+ Passion, drive, and innovation is part of our vision for the future.
There Are Many Ways to Show Your Support
In your commitment to local businesses, be sure to tap your disabled creators and entrepreneurs as they strive for success.
+ Subscribe to their newsletters.
+ Sign up for coaching.
+ Buy their books.
+ Share their content.
+ And if they are “open to work” and you are “open to hire,” well, you know what to do!
