The popular #DeafEd Twitter Chat, which engages people worldwide on timely topics in deaf education, will feature Dr. Stephanie Cawthon as their topic expert on November 18. She will lead an online conversation about accommodations and standardized assessment — an essential consideration throughout a deaf student’s education and a focus of Dr. Cawthon’s research and consulting.

#DeafEd Twitter Chat is the second Thursday of each month at 4:30pm PT / 7:30pm ET and is open to all. To join the one-hour live chat, simply search the hashtag on Twitter and follow along with the Q&A format.

The fall line-up of topics and experts are:

  • Deaf & Queer: Finding a Place in Deaf Ed with Brian A. Cheslik on Oct. 14

  • Language Play through ASL Rhyme and Rhythm with Leala Holcomb on Dec. 9

#DeafEd Twitter Chat is organized by Rachel Friedman Narr, PhD, professor at California State University at Northridge and director of the DEAFProject.
